Nzeppel

Another excellent challenge from Roy at Mindful Creations. we had to work with the Nzeppel tangle this week. I love the way this pattern wraps into the space. Doing this whilst listening to music was so relaxing after a very busy day at work.

Phiscops - Mindful Creations Wk 8 challenge

This is my attempt at Phiscops zentangle for Mindful Creations Wk 8 challenge. I think it turned out a little clumsy but enjoyed the process all the same. I was thinking of a water fountain when doodling it.

farewell - illustration friday

This is my contribution for Illustration Friday - the theme is Farewell. when I walk my dog every morning and we meet up with the other dogs and their owners there is always joyful helloes with lots of play and bottom sniffing (by the dogs) and then there is the farewell.  For my dog the farewells are no big deal, he always seems to be looking out for the next fun thing in life.

Onamato Zentangle

Made for Mindful Creations Week 7 challenge to use the onamato zentangle, I'm not too happy with this one because it looks like an over size Easter egg.  But I got a bit of a try at doing the onamato.

this year I will

Art journal page I created over the weekend, I have tried to incorporate some collage but ended up painting and drawing all over it so I guess I will have to work on letting the collage elements shine through!

The found poetry reads:

Clear, arranged days
enclosed in exact time,
led her to nothing.

Emotion rising
she stole herself from everyday life
searching for herself

Somewhere far away
she could hear the music of her voice

Bleed For Me - Michael Robotham

Book club choice for this month was Bleed for Me by Michael Robotham.  Great read.  I enjoy crime novels and this one kept me guessing until the end.  The plot unravelled at a good pace and was not predictable, sometimes I gloss over parts of novels when I (think!) have worked things out but not this one.  I haven't read Robotham before but will be looking out for more.

Here is his website Michael Robotham
